Road Update / anagram winners

I’d like to thank all of you who participated in this contest that Traci put together. We had five winners and their names are as follows. Mike Meyer, Carrie van Rensburg, Vicki Castle, Gary Willinger and Kelly Thorpe. All of the winners will receive a high quality VHS tape of the band recorded live at different venues except Vicki Castle who is the winner of an autographed picture of Donnie from the Strength tour taken by Lisa Lake. These are the answers to the anagrams:

1)    “Needing a space of my own is healthy”. “It’s No Good” from Seven.

2)    “You broke my heart when you broke my face”. “Heaven or Hell” from Strength.

3)    “My body dies and the beast inside lives on”. “The Beast” off of the latest disc 10.

4)    “From a little red limousine, to a sizeable subway car”. “We’re All Alright” from Tweaked.

Congrats to all the winners, the UK 3 and the US of A 2.

I have an update for all of you about some of the goings on from the road and a new issue will be out by the week of the 20th. To make the issue a bit shorter we thought that some of the information should be disseminated now for everyone who is curious how things are going.

Anyone remember Bill Auccoin of Kiss and Billy Idol fame? Well he was at the show in West Palm Beach Florida and seemed very interested in the band. He was on the bus and was looking at video footage that Donnie was showing him. Chip said that it’s highly likely that they will be working with him in the very near future. Quite an accomplishment when you think of all the history on the tour with all of the bands EZN are on tour with. The man knows a talent when he sees one!

The next disc is nearly 3/4 done and Donnie has vocal tracks to finish but no set release date is as of yet . It’s also supposed to have a more “thematic” approach to it than some of their prior releases. One unquoted source said that the song “How Are You” might finally make it to an “official” recording, which many of us have been begging for. Let’s hope so!

At the helm of the recording will be none other than “Little Steven” Van Zandt of Bruce Springsteen’s band. A departure from Chris Shepard (Smashing Pumpkins producer) who the band has used in recent years.

Following the end of the US tour the band plans to go back to Europe. Nothing is etched in stone as of yet but sources say that Germany, Belgium, Holland and England are the focal points of the trek set for September if all goes as planned.

I hope this tides you over till the next issue and buy tickets for the tour and support the band this summer! You WON’T be disappointed!

Till next time the staff at The Express wishes you peace, love and all things Z’nuff!
